THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
No Registration Required and No Personal Information Collected. Unlike most other websites you may be visiting, FCF’s website does not actively or covertly collect any personally identifiable information about you. From the FCF website, you may be able to freely order films, read editorials, read critic and user reviews, vote in polls, rate films, and enjoy other content, subscribe to one of our newsletters, or participate in our online forums or communities. In the course of visiting our website, without ever having to register, create an account with us or otherwise tell us about yourself.
The FCF website may allow you to invite your friends to join our services and to connect with you through social media features. Inviting friends is always optional. To do so, you may provide their contact information or may enter your log-in credentials to import e-mail addresses from your address book from other sites that support such functionality (e.g., Yahoo! and Gmail). Any such service will be provided by third-parties and not FCF and FCF is not responsible and may not be held liable for any information such parties may collect about you or your friends. Social media. FCF may allow you to engage with our content and other offerings, such as films, editorials and reviews, on or through third-party social media sites, plug-ins and applications. Any such engagement would not take place on FCF’s infrastructure and such third-party services may collect personally information about you. FCF will not participate in the collection of such information or use it in any way and may not be held liable or responsible for the privacy policies and methods of these third parties. We would strongly encourage you to carefully read the privacy policies of any third party websites and services you may choose to visit or use while browsing the FCF website. If you choose to post information or content on the FCF website, such as by commenting or participating in online forums, or when you interact through social media sites through plug-ins or other applications, depending on your privacy settings, this information may become public on the Internet. FCF may not prevent further use of information you have chosen to share on the website. Although our content is available internationally, all of our infrastructure is currently based in the United States, and information you have chosen to provide to us will be processed by us in the U.S. where data protection and privacy regulations may not offer the same level of protection as in other parts of the world, such as the European Union.
